Mental well-being among teenager 




About 20% of the teens experience depression before reaching adulthood. There has been a drastic rise in depression among teenager but only 30% of teenagers are being treated. 
"You are a stronger person when you talk about it".
Mental health of children are often not taken seriously ergo results in sucides. Behind all the moodiness, stubborness hides a deep reason, mental health.
  •     Studies shows that there are about 50 million children who show signs of mental illness.

Possible factors for cause

Different age group have different reasons. For teenager some reasonscan be;
  1. An unhealthy relationship with any close person or family members.
  2. when children are abused by the friends or family.
  3. Teens tends to stress about illness or disease.
  4. Family problems or poverty.
  5. Being a subject to discrimination due to their caste, gender. race etc.
  6. Some troubling trauma.

SIGNS

There are various types of mental disorders with various symptoms like anxiety disorder, clinical order, bipolar disorder etc. Some of the common signs are;
  • Bad sleeping schedule
  • Avoiding friends and family
  • lack of energy or motivation
  • Decreasing grades
  • Change in eating
  • Sudden breakouts/mood swings
  • Rebellious behaviour 
  • Excessive guilt 
  • Hallucination

SELF TREATMENT   

   Self acceptance

You should start by accepting whatever is bothering you. Stop
blaming yourself and instead try to make it better. show a little effort everyday. Never think that you are not worthy or a failure because you are nothing but perfect.

                                Have a talk 

 
When you share your emotions it will make you 
will that your 
lightweight. Talk to someone you trust and find a solution. In addition to that having someone over will keep you distracted and away from unusual thoughts.


  Exercise

It is good to keep yourself engaged. Try to run or walk a little for starters and further add more, include deep breathing . Exercise temporarily boost endorphins that can make you feel good and can be beneficial for long term.

              Write about what you are feeling 

 Sometimes self talk is important, having a closure   is important. When we write about our emotions we get many answers, you can even share it on social media to help others as well as when even 1 person will appreciate your efforts you will feel better. 

Aromatherapy

Smelling plant oils can help you destress and further can help in sleeping, lavender fragrance  is perfect when you are trying to sleep. These scents also reduces your heart rate helping you overcome anxiety.


Time with animals

Animals can cheer you up with their softness and love. Playing with furry animals is always an option if you are an introvert.
